Notice
Begin with what keeps catching your attention: a pattern, contradiction, relationship, question, need, or part of yourself you cannot quite name.
A GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING YOURSELF
Self-mapping is the practice of gathering the different pieces of how you experience the world and placing them together so you can understand the landscape you’re actually living in.
A map is not the landscape.
You may already have words for some parts of yourself and none for others. A diagnosis may explain one pattern. A relationship may reveal another. Your history, body, values, needs, and the roles you have learned to play may each hold a different piece of the story.
Self-mapping does not reduce those pieces to one label. It helps you see how they live together in one actual human life—and gives you language for what you recognize.
Understanding yourself is not the same as putting yourself in a box. A useful map gives you more room to move.
WHAT IT IS
Self-mapping can bring together your lived experience, recurring patterns, relationships, needs, personal history, nervous-system responses, and any framework that helps you ask better questions.
At Stone & Sky, birth-chart symbolism can be one of those frameworks. It is placed beside your experience—not above it—through the Human Translation Method.
WHAT IT ISN’T
THE STONE & SKY APPROACH
No framework gets to outrank the person living the life. The process stays curious, contextual, and human.
Begin with what keeps catching your attention: a pattern, contradiction, relationship, question, need, or part of yourself you cannot quite name.
Look at the life around the pattern. Your history, nervous system, relationships, environment, values, and present circumstances all belong on the map.
Bring useful frameworks—including birth-chart symbolism—into conversation with what you actually experience, then put the connection into clear human language.
Keep what creates recognition or offers a useful new angle. Question what does not fit. The person living the life remains the authority.
People Before Placements. The map never outranks the person living it.

WHAT IT CAN HELP YOU EXPLORE
Self-mapping does not promise a final answer. It creates a working map: something you can return to as your understanding, circumstances, and questions change.
